At Tokyo International Gift Show Spring 2011, Yumeshokunin exhibited the MISOKA, a toothbrush that keeps the teeth clean all day after brushing in the morning.
The tips of the bristles on this brush have a nanomineral coating, which is a technology developed by our company. The effect of this mineral is not just to remove detritus, but also to actually make the surface of the teeth hydrophilic, simply through normal brushing. For example, there are technologies that clean high-rise buildings after rain falls. And in the same way, our technology uses the saliva in the mouth, making it very difficult for detritus to stick to the teeth. So once you’ve brushed your teeth in the morning, they stay clean all day.
I think people find it quite hard to brush their teeth in the middle of the day. In particular, businesspeople tend to go out of the office a lot, so we especially recommend this toothbrush for businesspeople. After brushing in the morning, your teeth stay clean even if you have a meal. A lot of people say that, once they started to use this brush, they no longer needed to worry about mouth odor. There are lots of technologies available, but we’re using minerals, which are naturally present in the body. We wanted to make good use of minerals that the body takes in ordinarily, in order to make life more convenient. And the first product we’ve been working on is this toothbrush. From now on, we’d also like to create technologies that can be used to clean eyeglasses and automobiles, for example.
